The San Marcos fire from Escondido Hills.

We would like to put our thoughts and prayers out to all of the families affected by the San Diego County fires. Being located in Escondido ourselves, we could (and still can) see the Cocos Fire and Coronado Hills fire from our street. The fires have changed the lives of thousands of people in the past few days, and we understand exactly how much a home means to a family.

Richard Reed Construction would like to help you rebuild your lives if your home has been affected by fire, from the Poinsettia Fire all the way down to La Mesa and back up to the Bernardo Fire. ]]><![CDATA[Renewing Your House's Siding (and Saving Money!)]]>Wed, 06 Feb 2013 22:28:10 GMThttps://www.richardreedconstruction.com/blog/renewing-your-houses-siding-and-saving-moneyA recent project we undertook included renewing the siding on a late 1970's house. The siding was beginning to curl and weather, letting water into the walls of the house.

Due to the specific size of the siding, the decision was made to reuse as much of the material as possible. Siding of such a custom size could cost almost $10,000 to completely renovate the house! Instead, we took the existing siding, corrected any slight errors (or replaced certain pieces that were too worn to reuse) and tightened up the boards so they fit tightly.

Richard Reed Construction easily saved this family thousands of dollars on cost, smartly and effectively!
